This June 4 - 7, the Bayfield International Croquet Club is pleased to be hosting Croquet Canada’s 2026 Canadian Association Croquet National Championship, in the beautiful village of Bayfield, Ontario. BICC will be pleased to welcome you to this prestigious event.
Hopefully you received the first notice back on February 20, letting you know to “Save the Date”. June 3 will be the practice date and opening reception. June 4 – 7 are the four tournament play dates.
Here is some updated information...
Registration
Registration will open starting Saturday, March 21st. Be ready on this date to register online, as spaces fill up very quickly. Registration will be managed by registering on our website at bicc.ca/cacc2026 (preferred). If you have any issues, contact David Druiett at David.Druiett@gmail.com or call 519-869-2864.
Registration will only be accepted after 12:00 noon EDT on March 21. No earlier.
All entrants will be entered on a waiting list, until the Registration Close Date of March 30 @ 12 noon EDT. A maximum of 28 entrants will be allotted a place in the tournament.
After the Close Date, flight allotments will be made, and within a few days, allotment emails will go out to all entrants, with payment particulars. The event webpage will also be updated to show the allotment.
In the meantime, could you REPLY TO ME if you are interested in coming, so that we have an idea of how many may be registering. And then when the registration day arrives, you can register officially on our website.
Overview
Tournament Dates: June 4 - 7, 2026 (Thursday to Sunday)
Practice Day: Wednesday, June 3, starting at 2 pm at BICC. Opening reception follows at 5 pm.
Locations: Bayfield International Croquet Club, Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club
Flights: Championship, A, B
Total number of entrants: 28
The tournament fee is $385 CAD. Cash prizes and awards are given for the top winners. For partners of players or club members who are not playing, you can join in on the fun for $60. This will include lunches and attendance at the evening social events. See the event webpage for details on payment closer to the registration date.
The tournament will include:
- Practice on the Wednesday, June 3, followed by an opening reception.
- There will be four days of play starting Thursday, June 4,
- with the finals concluding on Sunday, June 7.
- Morning coffee and pastries and lunches for each day of play.
- A tournament dinner will be hosted on the Saturday.
- And of course, various opportunities will be available for the socialization that BICC is renowned for.
Flight Details
Championship
Top 12 entrants, selected by DGrade, by registration close date. 2 blocks of 6 in Round Robin, cross-blocked. Games will be played in Bayfield each day. 2 hours 45 minutes maximum. The top 8 will move on to the playoffs, where each advancing round will be a best 2 out of 3 (max time 7.5 hours). For players that are eliminated in the Quarter Finals, there will be a 2 out of 3 “Bowl” round. Plus there will be additional Plate games for those who don’t make the playoffs.
A and B flights - 8 players per flight. All play all in Round Robin for each flight. Games will be played in Seaforth from Thursday through Saturday, with finals taking place in Bayfield on Sunday. 2 hours 15 minutes maximum. All will be seeded for the Playoffs, in single game rounds. There will be additional games for Plate and Bowl as the playoffs progress.
